Elysium Axe Bar, a familiar spot in Purcellville for nearly five years, has announced it will close its doors at the end of this year. Since opening, the bar has been known for bringing together residents and visitors for axe-throwing competitions and community events.

The decision to close follows the expiration of their lease, which the owners have decided not to renew. As they prepare to conclude operations, Elysium Axe Bar plans a series of events and celebrations to thank its patrons. The venue will offer extended hours for both Thanksgiving and Christmas, aiming to accommodate holiday visitors and last gatherings for those who have supported them.

The final day of operation will be New Year’s Eve, marked by a special event to commemorate the bar’s impact in the community. Additionally, Elysium invites those interested in hosting holiday parties before the closure to contact them, emphasizing a few remaining openings for such events.
