Purcellville residents have eagerly awaited the opening of Fields Farm Road, and the moment is finally upon us. According to Mr. Joe Pascarelli from Loudoun County School construction, the new road is set to open within the next day or two, just in time for Woodgrove High School’s graduation on Wednesday, June 18th.
Originally planned to support future projects by the Loudoun County Government, including a commuter parking lot and the Western Recreational Fields, the road’s purpose shifted after the Purcellville Town Council and Planning Commission denied these uses. As a result, responsibility for completing the road was transferred to Loudoun County Public Schools.
Fields Farm Road will provide a crucial second ingress and egress for both Woodgrove High School and Mountain View Elementary School. This development is expected to alleviate the long-standing traffic delays that parents, teachers, and buses have faced during school drop-off and pick-up times.
The opening of Fields Farm Road marks a significant improvement in local infrastructure, enhancing accessibility and reducing congestion. As the community celebrates Woodgrove High School’s upcoming graduation, the new road’s debut serves as a timely and welcome development for Purcellville residents. Stay tuned to Purcellville News for more updates as the road officially opens and begins to serve our community.
