Interim Chief Sara Lombraña of the Purcellville Police Department has been acknowledged by the Virginia Association of Chiefs of Police & Foundation (VACP) for completing the Certified Law Enforcement Command Executive Officer program. This certification, awarded by Chief Michael Kochis of the Charlottesville Police Department, underscores her dedication to advanced education and professional development beyond the minimum requirements for law enforcement officers in Virginia. The certification, valid for three years and requiring renewal, focuses on upholding standards in ethics and leadership within policing.

Residents of Purcellville are invited to join an initiative hosted by the Purcellville Police Department at the Hardware Cafe, located at 131 N. 21st Street, on Wednesday, October 1st, from 9:00 am to 10:30 am.
