PURCELLVILLE, Va., March 24, 2026 – City Girl Floral, a local Purcellville business known for its custom floral arrangements, has announced it will close its brick-and-mortar storefront and temporarily pause operations as the owner shifts focus to a family medical situation.

In a message shared with customers, the owner said the decision followed “a lot of thought and prayers,” citing the need to be fully present as her child prepares for a major surgery.

“My baby is facing a major surgery, and everything in me is being pulled to slow down and be fully present for her,” she wrote. “As much as I love this shop and creating for all of you, my place right now is with my family.”

The storefront officially closed on Tuesday, March 24.

While the physical location will no longer operate, the business is not permanently shutting down. The owner plans to transition City Girl Floral to a home-based model and reopen in the future for online and custom orders once circumstances stabilize.

“City Girl Floral isn’t going away—it’s just taking a pause,” the announcement stated. “When life settles a bit, I’ll be reopening for online and custom orders.”

Customers with existing orders will still have them fulfilled, according to the update.

City Girl Floral has built a loyal following in the Purcellville community, with the owner expressing gratitude for the continued support.

“This shop has been such a big part of me, and so have all of you,” she shared. “Thank you for supporting me, trusting me with your flowers, and giving this little dream so much love.”
