The Purcellville Cannons are getting ready for another summer, with Opening Day scheduled for May 29 at Fireman’s Field. Fans will have 20 home games to catch this season, plus playoff games if the team advances, giving the community plenty of chances to see collegiate-level baseball in their own backyard.

The season gets started two days early with an exhibition game on May 27. Regular home games begin at 7:00 p.m., with gates opening at 5:30 p.m.

Tickets and Season Passes

Single-game tickets are available at the gate. Adult admission runs $7, with discounted $3 tickets for youth ages 4 to 12, seniors 65 and older, and military members with ID. Children 3 and under get in free, as do Little League players wearing their official jersey with a patch.

For fans planning to attend multiple games, season passes covering all 20 home games and playoff contests are available. Adult season passes are $70, while youth, senior, and military passes are $30. The Cannons also offer early bird pricing on passes through social media and community events during the offseason. Passes can be purchased at purcellvillecannons.org.

Who’s Playing

The Cannons roster is made up of collegiate players recruited from across the United States and internationally, with each player required to be in good academic standing and recommended by a college coach or major league scout. The 2026 roster is still being finalized ahead of Opening Day.

The 2024 season set records for both sponsorship participation and attendance, with over 21,000 fans attending games over the course of the summer.

Getting Involved

The Cannons are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that operates largely on volunteer labor and community support. The organization is actively looking for volunteers, corporate sponsors, and community partners ahead of the season. Fans can also donate to the team’s “Buy a Player/Team Meal” fund, book group outings or birthday parties at the field, or inquire about becoming a host family for players.

Youth baseball players will also have an opportunity to work with the team through summer clinics planned for the season.

Before the first pitch, the Cannons will be out in the community, including an appearance at the Purcellville Music and Arts Festival on April 25 in Dillon’s Woods.

The Ballpark

Fireman’s Field seats over 2,000 fans in open bleacher seating and features permanent concession and restroom facilities. The 13-acre complex is located in the heart of Purcellville’s Historic District and is listed on both state and national registers of historic places.

Note: The 2026 schedule had not fully loaded from the Cannons’ site at time of publication. Once the official schedule is posted, the exact home game count should be verified, though the team’s ticketing page confirms 20 home games for the season pass.
