Loudoun County Board of Supervisors Chair Phyllis J. Randall announced Monday evening that the Valley Commerce Center rezoning application has been deferred from Tuesday’s Board of Supervisors business meeting to the board’s June 2 meeting.

The item, listed as LEGI 2023-0080 and identified as Item #11 on Tuesday’s agenda, was one of two items Randall said she is moving off the schedule. The other is Item #16, a Juneteenth celebration item.

In a social media post, Randall said Tuesday’s business meeting is “incredibly long and involved” and will likely run past midnight, while the June 2 agenda is comparatively short. She said setting the agenda and deferring items is at the chair’s discretion and called the move prudent.
