Loudoun County community theatre wraps up a six-show run of the Broadway musical May 8 and 9

ASHBURN, Va. — The Pickwick Players will close out their production of Disney’s “Frozen: The Broadway Musical” this weekend with three remaining performances at Capital Community Church in Ashburn.

The Loudoun County-based community theatre opened the show on May 1 and continues with performances Friday, May 8 at 7:30 p.m., and Saturday, May 9 at 1 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

Adapted from the 2013 Disney film, “Frozen” follows sisters Elsa and Anna of Arendelle as they navigate family, identity and the consequences of Elsa’s magical powers. The stage version retains the film’s best-known songs, including “Let It Go,” “Do You Want to Build a Snowman?” and “For the First Time in Forever,” and adds new material written for the Broadway production.

The Pickwick Players cast features local performers spanning adults, teens and children, a structure the organization has built much of its programming around. Founder Michele Reynolds is directing.
